Kelly Barta

Kelly Barta, Graduate Student, is pursuing her Masters in Counseling Psychology at William Jessup University and has a passion for working with people of all ages, especially adolescents. She is developing a therapy toolbox that emphasizes the integration of psychology and the arts.

Kelly worked with children from Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade for about three and a half years and has experience engaging with middle and high schoolers, which enables her to adapt her approach across developmental stages.

Her work is grounded in empathy and creating a safe space for clients to navigate challenges. Her creative background — she performs as Mickey or Minnie Mouse at children's birthday parties and events — supports rapport with younger clients as she continues her clinical training.
