With a passion for empowering individuals through life's challenges, Kristi Damron brings a wealth of diverse experience to her role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Damron Counseling in Tallahassee, Florida. Graduating suma cum laude with her Master's of Social Work from Florida State University in 2015, Kristi has since cultivated a practice deeply rooted in compassion and professional excellence.

Kristi's journey in the field of mental health and social services is marked by a series of impactful roles that have shaped her holistic approach to therapy. Her background includes valuable internships at a residential substance abuse facility for juveniles and on a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center, providing her with a strong foundation in addiction treatment and veteran care. As a Juvenile Probation Officer, Kristi gained insight into the complexities of the criminal justice system and its impact on young individuals and their families.

Her experience extends to roles as a Master Adjudicator for Social Security Disability applications and as a Social Service Director for aging adults in long-term care, demonstrating her versatility in addressing diverse client needs across different life stages. Kristi's most recent position as a Baker Act Coordinator for individuals in crisis on a Behavioral Health Unit further honed her skills in managing acute mental health situations, rounding out her comprehensive understanding of the mental health care continuum.

Since establishing her private practice in October 2018, Kristi has been dedicated to serving the Big Bend area, bringing her unique blend of experiences to bear in her therapeutic approach. Her practice is built on a foundation of empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a deep commitment to helping clients navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth.
