Kristina's educational journey began at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Building on this foundation, she pursued her passion for mental health, obtaining a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Counseling and Development from the same institution. This dual background in nursing and counseling allows her to approach mental health with a holistic perspective, understanding both the physical and emotional aspects of well-being.

With approximately 18 years of nursing experience, Kristina has worked extensively with individuals and families during times of illness, crisis, and death. This experience has deepened her understanding of human resilience and the importance of compassionate care. Additionally, her 13 years as a Community Faith Nurse have allowed her to integrate faith and healing into promoting health and wellness within congregations, offering a unique dimension to her counseling approach.

Kristina's counseling expertise spans a wide range of areas, including anxiety, Bipolar disorder, depression, addiction, chronic illness, chronic pain, Obsessive Compulsive disorder, self-esteem issues, schizophrenia, ADHD, anger issues, grief, hoarding, divorce, marriage, blended families, Non-suicidal self-injury or cutting, and adjustment/stress disorders. Her diverse experience enables her to tailor her approach to each client's unique needs and circumstances.

In her practice, Kristina employs an Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, while also utilizing eclectic techniques as needed. She believes in creating a partnership with her clients, fostering a relationship built on mutual trust, respect, and sincerity.
