Kurt Stevens

Kurt Stevens, Psy.D., is a Clinical Psychologist at Chicago Counseling Collective whose practice is rooted in psychodynamic principles. He uses psychodynamic insight to explore how past experiences shape current functioning.

He has extensive experience working with undergraduate and graduate students, young adults, and early career professionals. His areas of expertise include relationship and interpersonal issues, family of origin concerns, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, identity development, and career-related concerns.

A supervisor at Chicago Counseling Collective, he earned both his Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. His collaborative, warm approach attends to attachment, transference, and self-understanding to help clients navigate life transitions and interpersonal challenges.
