Lindsay Hohertz

Lindsay Hohertz, LISW, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Iowa with a decade of experience in foster care and adoption. She holds an MSW from the University of Iowa with a school social work endorsement and a BA in Social Welfare and Art from Augustana College.

Lindsay specializes in anxiety, depression, school-related issues, childhood trauma, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and suicidal ideation reduction. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy and incorporates art and play therapy, and has experience addressing disruptive behaviors in children, postpartum symptoms, and life adjustments.

She works in private practice and as part of a college Counseling Center and has prior roles in K-12 school systems, crisis counseling centers, and nonprofit settings. Lindsay facilitates mental health groups and trainings and provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where treatment is tailored to each client’s needs.
