MacKenzie's journey to counseling is rooted in her Colorado upbringing and diverse experiences. After earning her undergraduate degree from CU Boulder, she ventured to Georgia, where she spent three years teaching high school mathematics. This experience, coupled with her passion for mental health, led her to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. Upon graduation, MacKenzie returned to her Colorado roots to continue her counseling career.
With a versatile skill set, MacKenzie works with adolescents and adults grappling with a wide range of issues. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship dilemmas, life transitions, and substance use disorders. She is also adept at addressing behavioral addictions. MacKenzie's therapeutic toolkit is enriched by her professional training in Motivational Interviewing and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Additionally, she is expanding her knowledge in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional growth.
