MacKenzie King

MacKenzie King is a licensed professional counselor candidate who helps people, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with support and guidance. King works with adolescents and adults facing depression, anxiety, interpersonal dilemmas, life transitions, and substance use disorders.

King's journey in counseling began after earning her undergraduate degree from CU Boulder. She then taught high school mathematics in Georgia for three years. Her passion for mental health led her to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia before returning to Colorado to continue her career.

King employs Motivational Interviewing and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and she is expanding her expertise in Emotionally Focused Therapy. Her adaptable approach emphasizes self-awareness and healthy self-perceptions. Clients can expect a tailored experience that honors their needs and perspectives.
