Maddi Elkin-Aquino

Maddi Elkin-Aquino, RCA, Professional Counselor Associate, holds a Master’s degree in mental health counseling with a specialization in Somatic Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She integrates somatic methods into clinical work.

She works with adults on anxiety, depression, developmental and relational trauma (attachment wounding, sexual assault and abuse, and domestic violence), grief, and transpersonal/spiritual experiences, and provides affirming therapy for LGBTQ+ teens and adults while offering reproductive and sexual health education.

Her approach is eclectic and client-centered, rooted in somatic counseling and drawing from humanistic/person-centered therapy, polyvagal theory, trauma-informed approaches, attachment theory, parts-work, and multicultural/social justice systems paradigms. In-session techniques may include movement, touch, mindfulness, and breathwork alongside traditional talk therapy to tailor care to each client’s goals.
