Mariam Jensen

Mariam Jensen, LCMFT and RPT, is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas and a Registered Play Therapist with the Association for Play Therapy. She specializes in working with children aged 3 to 10 at Joyful Heart Therapy, LLC, using play as the primary method. She employs Child-Centered Play Therapy, Directive Play Therapy, and Sandtray Therapy and integrates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. With an MS in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, she creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where children address trauma, anxiety, PTSD, grief, behavioral and school issues, and self-esteem, partnering with families through a strength-based, solution-focused approach.
