Melanie Brace

Dr. Melanie Brace is a child and adolescent psychiatrist based at the Center for Child and Family Therapy's Port Orchard location. She works with young people and families, addressing mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders.

Dr. Brace earned her Medical Degree from the University of Michigan in 1990 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Michigan State University. Her post-graduate training included residencies in General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Washington, completed in 1995. She served on the faculty at the University of Washington and treated complex cases at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Brace's approach is holistic and collaborative, integrating care with primary providers and mental health professionals. She emphasizes comprehensive treatment plans that address the needs of each patient. Families can expect a supportive environment that connects them with community resources.
