About
Michelle Fahrnow, MS, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She works with individuals and couples on depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, low self-worth, stress management, and relationship difficulties, using cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, person-centered therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and other humanistic approaches.
Michelle has extensive experience with trauma survivors, including sexual assault, unexpected loss of loved ones, and traumatic childhoods. In couples work she addresses issues such as infidelity, loss, and parenting challenges through collaborative, individualized treatment.
She emphasizes a trusting, warm, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship and aims to challenge problematic thinking patterns, support symptom management, and foster self-confidence.
