Miguel Barillas

Miguel Barillas, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist at Terra Counseling Center in Miami who specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. He integrates Somatic Experiencing®—which he trained in for years—with EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based approaches, CBT, Brainspotting, MBCT, IFS, person-centered methods, and other trauma-focused techniques.

Barillas holds a Master's in Clinical Work and completed over three years of intensive training at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. He works with children, adolescents, and adults and provides services in English and Spanish ("Hablo Español"). His trauma-informed approach addresses the lasting effects of difficult life events and focuses on supporting clients' strengths and growth.
