Monica Bestawros

Monica Bestawros, MAMFT, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist who integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Existential Psychology, Psychodynamic Theories, and Art Therapy techniques to meet each client’s needs.

She began in 2006 when she worked as a contractor for the Department of Children and Family Services and has practiced in private practice, college counseling centers, outpatient psychiatric centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms, and clinics. She works with individuals, couples, families, children, and groups.

With a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Richmont Graduate University and practice at Intown Counseling, Monica helps clients evaluate life goals and gain insight into factors influencing their success, using a supportive, compassionate, and goal-oriented approach to build resilience and self-awareness.
