Nile Sedgwick

Nile Sedgwick, Ph.D., LPC, CAADC, established his private practice in 2010 and provides psychotherapy in the Athens and Savannah areas of Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in professional counseling from Georgia State University.

He specializes in depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders and provides psychotherapy and substance abuse counseling for adolescents through adults. He has experience working with the LGBTQ community and clients on the autism spectrum.

Sedgwick's insight-oriented, non-judgmental approach encourages clients to examine their lives from an objective perspective and weigh how substances fit into their lives. He offers in-person sessions at the Athens Mental Health Group and virtual therapy across Georgia, with a sliding scale and flexible durations.
