About
Patrick Nitch, LPC-MHSP, is a licensed psychotherapist who blends mindfulness with contemporary therapeutic approaches. He holds a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Peabody College of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University and an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree in Economics and Psychology from Vanderbilt.
He trained in mindfulness meditation through residential training retreats at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and Yokoji Zen Mountain Center and studied under Tenshin Roshi in the Soto/Rinzai Zen White Plum lineage. He completed Internal Family Systems (IFS) training in 2021.
Patrick founded Mindful Nashville and has worked in outpatient mindfulness-based clinics and initiated a mindfulness and recovery program at a treatment center. He offers individual therapy, mindfulness training, and workshops, emphasizing curiosity, compassion, loving-kindness, and a non-judgmental presence, often bringing lightness and humor to sessions.
