Rita Van Norman is a Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience specializing in the mental health needs of older adults, their caregivers, and loved ones. She provides compassionate care for individuals navigating depression, anxiety, grief, and dementia-related challenges. A Certified Grief Counselor and member of the Academy of Bereavement Professionals, Rita is dedicated to supporting individuals and families through times of transition and loss.
Since relocating to Spearfish in 2006, Rita has continued her clinical work while contributing to the field through teaching and curriculum development. She served as adjunct faculty at Black Hills State University, teaching courses such as Social Problems, Death & Dying, The Psychology of Aging, and Crisis Intervention. She also authored the Caring with Confidence program for the Wyoming Center on Aging (WyCOA), an educational resource for CNAs.
