Sandra Beggs

Sandra Beggs is a therapist at the Miami Counseling & Resource Center. Beggs works with clients facing anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, and trauma. She helps people, couples, families, and groups navigate relationship difficulties, family dynamics, and personal growth.

Beggs is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, and licensed Clinical Psychologist in Canada. Before joining the Miami Counseling & Resource Center, she practiced in Canada, treating children and adolescents, facilitating groups for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, and leading workshops for mental health professionals. Since 2005, she has expanded her practice in Florida to include expressive arts therapy and work with children on the autism spectrum.

Beggs incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dance/Movement Therapy. Clients often leave sessions feeling more calm and hopeful, equipped with new tools to handle life's challenges.
