Shelby Walter

Shelby Walter, LCSW, works with children, adolescents, and parents who have experienced trauma. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to address each client’s needs.

Her clinical work builds on a focus on children with special needs, particularly those with Autism, and has evolved into a specialization in working with young children, adolescents, and parents who have experienced multiple traumas. She practices under the clinical supervision of Dr. Steven D. Gomez.

Shelby uses a trauma-informed lens centered on the question 'What has happened to you?' and emphasizes healing, empowerment, and collaborative, individualized treatment. She is currently accepting new clients.
