Sherry Douden

Sherry Douden, Executive Director, is the founder of Insights Counseling Group (originally 'New Mourning' founded in 2004). She specializes in grief, life transitions, depression, and trauma, informed by her own experiences with multiple family losses and the death of her husband.

After a career in retail she pursued a degree in Counseling Psychology and established the practice, where she and her associates combine clinical expertise and life experience to hold space for difficult emotions.

Her approach is compassionate and relational, focusing on exploring core beliefs and helping clients understand the choices they made to survive. She emphasizes relationships as central to healing and supports clients in re-aligning with their values.
