Sylvia Chelf

Sylvia Chelf, M.Ed., LPC, LCDC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Master Level Clinician and the owner, Clinical Director, and Primary Therapist at Priority Counseling (established 2018).

She earned a M.Ed. in Community Counseling and Guidance from the CACREP accredited program at the University of Texas at Brownsville and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology; she received the Dr. Charles R. Comeaux Distinguished Student Recognition Award for Outstanding Clinical Skills.

Her primary focus is adolescents and adults; she is licensed in Chemical Dependency Counseling (2015) and became a National Certified Counselor (NCC, 2019). Sylvia uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existentialism, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Therapy to tailor integrative, client-centered treatment plans.
