About
With a compassionate approach and a focus on healing from traumatic experiences, Taylor Manfredi, MSW, LCSW, serves as the clinical director at Arise Counseling and Therapy. Her practice is deeply rooted in helping individuals who feel stuck, unable to move forward due to unwanted symptoms and behaviors stemming from past events.
Taylor's expertise lies in treating anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, attachment trauma, burnout, chronic stress, and ADHD management. She employs a blend of cutting-edge therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, tailoring her approach to each client's unique needs. Her work focuses on supporting clients as they learn new coping mechanisms, strengthen self-compassion, and reprocess negative beliefs to enhance their sense of safety, control, and connection to others.
A proud alumna of UNCW, Taylor earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the institution. Her commitment to ongoing professional development is evident in her completion of EMDR basic training through The EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Taylor's diverse clinical background includes experience in family-based services, working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and crisis services, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on mental health care.
Beyond her clinical work, Taylor remains deeply connected to her community. She volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for children and teens in foster care to ensure they have safe, loving, and permanent homes. This dedication to service enriches her therapeutic practice, bringing a holistic understanding of the challenges her clients face.
At Arise, Taylor works primarily with college students, young adults, and adults. Her empathetic, collaborative approach creates a safe space for clients to explore their deepest challenges and work towards creating a more fulfilling life.
