Andrew Leonard

Andrew Leonard, MSW, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and the owner and lead clinician at ARISE Psychotherapy Services, Inc. He holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College School of Social Work and is licensed as an independent clinical social worker in Rhode Island.

He works with adults facing trauma, stress management, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders (SUDs). His approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques to tailor care to each client’s needs.

His experience includes psychiatric hospitals, partial hospital programs, SUD programs, medical hospital psychiatry teams, emergency services crisis intervention, and post-graduate clinical fellowships. He seeks to ensure that everyone working with an ARISE psychotherapist feels safe, comfortable, and free from judgment while treating clients with dignity and respect.
