Her journey began with a spiritual calling, providing direction to children and families in a church setting, and has since evolved into a comprehensive practice that touches the lives of individuals across all age groups and walks of life.

Carla's educational foundation is rooted in excellence, having earned both her Master of Science Degree and Advanced Graduate Degree in Clinical Community Counseling from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. This rigorous academic background has equipped her with the tools to tackle a wide array of mental health challenges, from mood disorders and addiction to communication issues and eating disorders.

Throughout her career, Carla has demonstrated remarkable versatility. She has worked in diverse settings, including schools, inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, prisons, and even corporate environments. Her experience ranges from providing therapeutic interventions for children with Autism to offering Critical Incident Stress Debriefing in workplaces and schools. This breadth of experience allows her to bring a unique, holistic perspective to her practice.

Carla's therapeutic approach is as diverse as her experience. She employs a wide range of modalities, including Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Imago, Trauma Focused, Solution Focused, and Psychodynamic therapies. In 2007, Carla took a significant step in her career by founding her own counseling practice.
