Christine Truman

Christine Truman, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with nearly two decades at the forefront of women's mental health. She specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period and brings expertise in psychopharmacology, psychiatric diagnosis, and disease management.

She trained at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed psychiatric residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospital of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. At Partners in Women's Mental Health she offers in-person and telepsychiatry services; initial medication consultations are typically face-to-face in the Norfolk office.

Her evaluations typically last approximately 45–60 minutes with 15–20 minute follow-ups. She accepts new patients planning for a future pregnancy, during pregnancy, and during the first year postpartum and aims to optimize mental health while empowering patients with knowledge, understanding, and choice.
