David Barnhart

Dr. David L. Barnhart is a Licensed Counselor and founder of Behavioral Sciences of Alabama. He works with anxiety, depression, family and couple counseling, stress management, and ADHD treatment for both children and adults. Barnhart also conducts psychoeducational assessments, particularly for pastoral ministry candidates.

Barnhart's academic journey began with doctoral studies at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. His credentials include Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor, reflecting his dedication to high professional standards. With over four decades of experience in private practice, he combines clinical expertise with innovative treatment approaches.
