Diana Salazar

Diana Salazar is a clinical director at Sunshine State Counseling Center in Bonita Springs, FL. Salazar works with a diverse clientele, including children, adults, couples, and families, addressing emotional and behavioral challenges, trauma, relational conflicts, and mood disorders.

Salazar's journey in mental health began in Bogota, Colombia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Pontifical Xaverian University in 2004. She completed her master's degree in Clinical Social Work at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2012. Her career includes work with the Colombian National Army and various therapeutic settings in the United States.

Salazar's therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Play Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.
