About
Gregory Hasek, MA/MFT, LHMC, LPC, brings a unique blend of experience and innovation to his counseling practice, creating an environment as comfortable as your favorite coffee shop. With a passion for integrating music and alternative therapies into his sessions, Hasek offers a holistic approach to healing that addresses the body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
Hasek's journey in the counseling field began in the late 1980s, working with adolescents in residential treatment facilities and wilderness camps. He earned his Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University in Portland, Oregon, and has been licensed as a Professional Counselor in Oregon since 2004 and as a Mental Health Counselor in Florida since 2015. His diverse educational background, including degrees in Outdoor Recreation, uniquely informs his therapeutic approach.
Specializing in trauma recovery, Hasek has developed expertise in working with couples where one or both partners have experienced trauma. He is particularly passionate about helping couples move from destructive cycles of interaction to deeper, more healing attachments. Since 2004, Hasek has focused on treating individuals, couples, and families affected by sex addiction, pornography issues, and post-abortion trauma. His comprehensive program for sex addiction addresses the needs of the addict, their spouse, and the marriage as a whole.
As a frequent national speaker and educator, Hasek has made significant contributions to the field of men's post-abortion issues. He organized the first men's summit in the United States specifically addressing how abortion affects men and has been instrumental in developing The Men and Abortion Network. His work has gained international recognition, leading to speaking engagements in Australia and at the World Congress on the Family in Barbados.
Hasek's approach to therapy is multifaceted, incorporating expressive and experiential therapies alongside traditional counseling methods. He utilizes music as a therapeutic tool, recognizing its power to activate right-brain processing and facilitate healing, especially for clients with past trauma. His practice also integrates massage therapy, mindfulness techniques, and water-based therapies, offering a truly holistic healing experience.
At SWFL Christian Counseling 360, the non-profit counseling center Hasek directs, clients can expect a unique blend of professional expertise and compassionate care. Whether dealing with relationship issues, addiction, or personal growth, Gregory Hasek offers a safe, innovative space for healing and transformation, grounded in both psychological science and Christian faith.
