About
Julie Griffin, MAMFC, LPC, LPC-S, NCC, is a founding partner of Carolina Counseling Partners and brings a multicultural background, having grown up in Thailand and Sri Lanka and spent a significant portion of her adult life in Jakarta, Indonesia. She uses an integrative, client-centered approach and employs Mindfulness Training; Emotional Freedom Techniques; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Family Systems Therapy; and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Julie works with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families and specializes in trauma; family and parenting issues; depression; stress and anxiety; grief and loss; anger management; life transitions; ADHD; and marital and premarital counseling. She is available to speak on parenting in different life stages; the intersection of church and mental illness; building healthy families; human trafficking advocacy; health and wellness; and trauma recovery, and her over 30 years of marriage and large family inform her understanding of family dynamics as she helps clients navigate life’s challenges.
