Karen Steen

Karen Steen, MA, LPC-S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over two decades of experience. She holds a Master's Degree from McNeese State University (2003) and is an LPC Supervisor certified by the Louisiana LPC Board.

She treats depression, anxiety, relationship issues, affair recovery, anger management, trauma, grief, parenting, employment concerns, and stress management, and works with individuals, couples, families, adults, and adolescents. Karen draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Anthetic Relationship Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and EMDR to tailor care.

Compassion and non-judgmental respect form the foundation of her therapeutic approach. At Brighter Days Counseling Services, LLC, she provides flexible, individualized care and guides Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors on their path to licensure.
