Katie Frits

Katie Frits is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who works with adolescents facing anxiety, depression, and identity issues. Frits helps young people navigate these challenges by drawing on her own experiences and professional expertise.

Frits began her journey in mental health after overcoming personal struggles with anxiety during her youth. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University and gained valuable experience in a residential setting for adolescents. She later completed a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Drake University in 2018.

Frits employs evidence based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and play therapy. She aims to build a safe therapeutic relationship, equipping clients with practical tools for daily challenges. Her diverse background includes private practice and leading groups in intensive outpatient programs.
