Huskey began her career as a sexual assault and domestic violence advocate while pursuing her Master's in Social Work. This experience, along with her personal healing journey, informs her understanding of trauma and resilience. At Purple Lotus Counseling, she employs a whole-person centered approach that integrates mind, body, and spirit.
Huskey utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, reprocessing strategies, and solution-focused approaches. She also incorporates Forward Facing Trauma Therapy. Clients can expect a flexible approach, with both in-person and online options, aimed at developing personalized goals and exploring new behaviors. Huskey creates a safe, non judgmental space for exploration and growth.
