Katrina Volante, MHC, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, brings a multicultural perspective to her clinical work. She works with adults aged 17 and older on depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal ideation, LGBTQIA+ empowerment, and life transitions.
She worked as an elementary school teacher and administrator across the United States, Italy, and China and transitioned to counseling in Shanghai, where she provided crisis counseling online and in-person during COVID lockdowns. She also provided on-the-ground crisis counseling services after Hurricane Ian.
Katrina uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), affirmative counseling, and a constructivist approach, emphasizing how home environments and personal relationships shape well-being. She aims to create a safe, supportive space for clients to explore meaning and build healthier thoughts and behaviors.
