Kira Mendoza

Kira Mendoza, LCSW, is a play therapist at JSA who works with children aged 3 and above and is bilingual in Spanish. She practices child-centered play therapy and draws from mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy.

She collaborates closely with parents and families to extend therapeutic gains into the home and works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, anger management, ADHD, parenting challenges, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions and adjustments.

Kira aims to build self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-worth by establishing a solid therapeutic bond and adapting methods to each client’s needs. Her warm, empathetic style promotes practical skills for daily functioning and healthier family dynamics.
