As a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico, Liz brings a wealth of experience to her practice, specializing in guiding individuals through life transitions, depression, anxiety, career challenges, adolescent issues, grief, and substance use.

Liz's professional journey is deeply rooted in her commitment to both personal growth and community service. She earned her Master's degree in Counseling and Bachelor's in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Mexico, building a strong academic foundation for her practice. Her clinical expertise spans individual and group counseling, allowing her to tailor her approach to each client's unique needs. Liz is also trained in Lifespan Integration (level 2), a gentle technique for addressing trauma and integrating deeper wisdom using the story of one's life.

Beyond her clinical work, Liz is actively engaged in professional leadership roles that demonstrate her commitment to advancing the field of counseling. She currently serves as the Past President of the New Mexico Counseling Association (NMCA) and the New Mexico Career Development Association (NMCDA). These roles not only showcase her expertise but also her dedication to fostering growth and excellence within the counseling community.

Liz's approach to therapy is holistic, recognizing the interconnectedness of career, mental health, and life balance. She brings this perspective to her work, helping clients navigate the complex interplay between their professional and personal lives. Her practice is characterized by a blend of professional expertise and personal warmth, creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel supported and empowered to explore their challenges and strengths.

As a native New Mexican, Liz has a deep appreciation for the diverse culture and landscape of her home state. Liz is committed to creating positive change within her community, focusing on issues such as education, economic growth, and addressing generational poverty. Her passion for community building and connecting with others drives her belief that lasting change begins with strong, supportive relationships.

In Liz's own words, "I am still figuring this out, life. It changes by the millisecond, and adjusting to change is half the fun and also what creates the most anxiety." This honest reflection encapsulates her approach to therapy – acknowledging the challenges of life while embracing the opportunities for growth and discovery. Clients working with Liz can expect a compassionate, curious, and collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based practices and a genuine desire to help them navigate life's complexities.
