MacKenzie Fricke
LMSW • Licensed Master Social Worker
About
With a passion for guiding individuals on their unique journeys of self-exploration, MacKenzie Fricke brings a client-centered approach to her practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker. Her diverse experience spans across multiple settings, including corrections systems, child and adolescent residential homes, inpatient hospitals for both adults and children, community mental health, and outpatient services.
MacKenzie's philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual possesses the answers to their own questions on some level of consciousness. As a therapist, she sees her role as a guide, helping clients to make these answers explicit and empowering them to identify, develop, and mobilize their own resources. This approach allows her to assist individuals in ways she has always dreamed of, viewing social work as an extension of human life.
Offering both in-person sessions at her Muskegon office and online services through an easy scheduling platform, MacKenzie provides a variety of evidence-based counseling services. Her toolkit includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She specializes in working with families, couples, children, and adolescents, tailoring her services to meet the unique needs of each client.
MacKenzie is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can heal from trauma and abuse (PTSD), manage depression and anxiety, work through grief and loss, reflect on life's emotional struggles, and improve their overall quality of life. Her expertise allows her to help clients prioritize goals, support efforts for connection, communicate needs and boundaries within healthy relationships, and recognize their own strengths and worth.
At the core of MacKenzie's practice is the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health. She approaches each client with empathy, compassion, and non-judgment, striving to help them navigate life's challenges in healthy and meaningful ways. Whether you're seeking support for personal growth, relationship issues, or specific mental health concerns, MacKenzie Fricke is committed to helping you transform your life through empowering counseling.
