Melissa Shane

Melissa Shane is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with clients across all age groups to address a broad range of issues. Shane focuses on dysfunctional family of origin issues, narcissistic abuse, trauma, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, and women's issues throughout the lifespan.

Shane began her journey in mental health at Bradley University, earning a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling in 1999. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Levels I and II and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology for thirteen years. Her experience includes a decade in private practice before founding Healing Hearts Counseling in 2017.

Shane employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Clients can expect a comprehensive and tailored approach to therapy. Her sessions offer practical support for navigating life's challenges.
