Melissa Shane

Melissa Shane, LCPC, CCTP-I, CCTP-II, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling from Bradley University.

She holds Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level I & II certifications and uses evidence-based modalities including CBT, EMDR, DBT, and MBCT. She also incorporates Sand Tray and Play Therapy and addresses Parental Alienation.

Shane served as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology for thirteen years, spent a decade in private practice, and founded Healing Hearts Counseling in 2017. She works with clients across the lifespan on trauma, narcissistic abuse, family-of-origin issues, grief, perinatal mood and women’s health concerns, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems through a trauma-informed, tailored approach.
