Michelle Chmelecki

Michelle Chmelecki, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over three decades of psychiatric experience. She works with adolescents, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults.

She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine and has experience in emergency, inpatient, community, crisis stabilization, and outreach settings. Her practice blends psychopharmacology with therapies including CBT, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and crisis intervention.

She views psychiatric medication as an effective treatment intervention, but not always a long-term necessity. With a patient's consent, she collaborates with families, school personnel, and other natural supports to improve functioning at school, home, and in relationships.
