Michelle Chmelecki

Michelle Chmelecki is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over three decades of experience. She works with adolescents, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults, guiding them through their mental health journeys with confidence and support.

Chmelecki holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine. Her extensive training includes psychopharmacology, pathophysiology, and patient/family psychoeducation. She has worked in various settings, including Maine Medical Center's psychiatric emergency room and TOGUS veterans hospital.

Chmelecki employs evidence-based practices, utilizing psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and crisis intervention. Clients can expect a collaborative approach, often involving families and other supports, to improve mental health and functioning.
