Niloufar Nekou

Niloufar Nekou, LMFT, is Chief Clinical Officer at Alter Behavioral Health. She specializes in trauma, substance and alcohol abuse, and embracing cultural diversity.

She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Charleston. Niloufar is trained in EMDR and skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

Her practice is grounded in compassion and non-judgment, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can address difficulties with openness and trust. As Chief Clinical Officer she provides direct care and shapes Alter Behavioral Health’s therapeutic approach, aiming to support deeper self-understanding, resilience, and lasting harmony.
