About

With over a decade of experience in therapeutic roles, Rebekah Walker brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S). Her journey in the field of mental health has taken her through diverse and challenging environments, including working at Child Protective Services and serving as a director of a therapeutic foster care agency. These experiences have given her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by children and families in today's world.

Rebekah's heart lies in empowering children of all ages and backgrounds to discover their unique gifts and face life's ups and downs with confidence. As a member of the Association for Play Therapy, she utilizes her specialized training and experience in play therapy to facilitate healing and growth in young clients. Her approach is grounded in a common-sense philosophy, working collaboratively with clients and families to uncover practical solutions to life's challenges.

Beyond her work with children, Rebekah has developed a particular expertise in supporting women navigating the complexities of divorce, remarriage, and rediscovering their identity. Her endorsement by Ron Deal as a blended family therapist speaks to her proficiency in this area. Drawing from her own experiences as part of a blended family, Rebekah brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work with families navigating these unique dynamics.

Rebekah's multicultural background adds another layer to her therapeutic toolkit. As a child of missionary parents, she grew up in Honduras and Nicaragua, experiences that have shaped her worldview and enhanced her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. Her fluency in Spanish allows her to serve a wider range of clients, breaking down language barriers in the therapeutic process.

When she's not in the office, Rebekah's commitment to family and community shines through. You might find her cheering on her children at a pig stock show or on the softball field, or enjoying quality time with her husband and children at the lake during summer months. This balance of professional expertise and personal warmth makes Rebekah a trusted ally for children and families seeking support, healing, and growth.
