Ruth Bybee

Ruth Bybee, LPC, M.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor who blends traditional counseling techniques with artistic expression. She holds a Master of Science in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School.

She specializes in depression, anxiety disorders, mood-related issues, self-injury, and anger management, with a particular focus on child and adolescent artistic expression. She works with adolescents and adults.

Ruth has years in private practice and completed a residency partly in a federally funded treatment center working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She uses art materials for clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention and offers a holistic approach that addresses both verbal and nonverbal aspects of clients' experiences.
