Ryan Brimley

Ryan Brimley, LCSW, is the founder of the Wellness Counseling Center on Oahu (2019) and specializes in individual and family therapy with a focus on at-risk youth. He draws on a broad understanding of Hawaii’s mental health landscape to support clients across the islands.

He earned an MSW from the BYU School of Social Work and worked as an intensive in-home therapist for The Institute for Family Enrichment before serving as a Medical Social Worker at Hilo Medical Center in Emergency and Behavioral Health. He transitioned to private practice in 2018 and brings experience in in-home, hospital, and outpatient settings.

Ryan integrates cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based approaches and emphasizes unconditional positive regard, empathy, and respect. He works to create a supportive therapeutic space rooted in the belief that people have capacity for growth and healing.
