Driven by a deep-rooted desire to positively impact individuals with disabilities, Sara Campbell has carved out a unique niche in the mental health field, with a special focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As the owner and founder of The Counseling Affect, Sara brings over a decade and a half of experience to her practice, having started her journey in mental health in 2008.

Sara's expertise extends far beyond ASD. Her comprehensive approach encompasses treating a wide range of conditions including sensory difficulties, developmental disabilities, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also provides valuable support and guidance in parenting, showcasing her versatility as a mental health professional.

What sets Sara apart is her commitment to innovative therapeutic techniques. She is certified in the Safe & Sound Protocol and AutPlay, demonstrating her dedication to employing cutting-edge methodologies in her practice. This blend of established therapeutic approaches and modern techniques allows Sara to tailor her services to meet the unique needs of each client, from preschoolers to adults.

Sara's journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor is as unique as her practice. Initially aspiring to be a band director, she found her true calling in mental health, driven by an innate need to help others. Her personal faith, coupled with a deep trust and respect for her clients, forms the foundation of her therapeutic approach.

Outside of her professional life, Sara is a multifaceted individual. She's a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend. Her personal interests, including knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, hiking, walking, and gardening, reflect a grounded and creative personality. Sara's commitment to her community is evident in her regular volunteering as an Autism Involves Me Community Partner, further emphasizing her dedication to supporting individuals with autism beyond her clinical practice.
