Sheri Potter

Sheri Potter is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience working with youth, families, and communities in the Spearfish area. Raised on a North Dakota family farm and ranch, she learned the values of hard work and perseverance early on and has carried those lessons into her counseling career. Before transitioning to private practice, Sheri worked in the Spearfish School District as a kindergarten and middle school special education teacher and later as a school counselor, giving her a broad perspective on the challenges faced by children, families, and educators.

Her areas of expertise include ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parent–child conflict, abuse issues, trauma, therapeutic play, and marital and couples therapy. Sheri takes a strengths-based, client-centered approach, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel respected and empowered. She values the courage it takes to seek help and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients in their healing journey within a faith-friendly setting.
