Sylvie Demers

Sylvie Demers, DSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with over 25 years of practice in Maine who specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples and families strengthen relationships.

She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS); her background includes teaching graduate students, developing and managing multidisciplinary outpatient and home-based programs, and providing clinical supervision.

Dr. Demers practices from a humanistic perspective using a holistic and integrated mind-body approach enhanced by an attachment lens, and she brings trauma-informed psychotherapy aimed at helping clients feel closer, better understood, valued, and loved.
