Jeffrey Pickett

Jeffrey Pickett is a mental health counselor at Handel Behavioral Health. Pickett works with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance-related disorders.

Pickett's career began in a community-based acute treatment facility for adolescents during his undergraduate studies. After earning his from Westfield State University, he gained extensive experience in mobile and hospital-based crisis units, serving clients aged 7 to 100 with major mental illnesses. He also worked with geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility.

Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, Pickett creates a non judgmental, supportive environment. His sessions focus on active listening and respect for self-knowledge, guiding clients through challenges while celebrating achievements. Clients can expect a compassionate, adaptable approach in both telehealth and in-person appointments.
