About
Kale Kirkland, Ph.D., LP, is a licensed psychologist specializing in clinical and forensic work. He earned a BA in Psychology from Auburn University, summa cum laude, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2011.
He provides individual therapy, comprehensive psychological assessments, and court-ordered evaluations, and is certified as a Forensic Examiner through the Alabama Department of Mental Health since 2012. He treats conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder using evidence-based methods.
Dr. Kirkland conducts competency to stand trial, mental state, risk, and sentencing mitigation evaluations for adults and juveniles, and works with law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responders, including experience with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He uses cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based techniques and tailors assessments and treatment to clinical and legal needs.
