Karen Choi

Karen Choi, LMFT, CCATP, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in Psychology from UC Davis.

She specializes in serving the under-served Asian and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and works in medical settings as part of multi-disciplinary teams. She uses evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy.

As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Karen has extensive experience treating mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Her collaborative, culturally sensitive approach emphasizes clients’ resilience and supports clarity and personal growth.
