About
Marissa Moore, LMHC, PMH-C, is Clinical Director and founder of Therapy Brooklyn (founded 2013). She specializes in couples and family therapy and also provides individual therapy for depression and anxiety.
Trained during post-graduate work at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, she now teaches an advanced seminar in couples and family therapy. She holds a Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and a BA from the University of Rochester.
Her strengths-based approach is informed by intersectionality and social justice. Certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and pursuing EMDR certification, Marissa brings explicit attention to race, racism, and oppression when working with interracial and biracial clients and offers collaborative, context-attentive care.
