About

Fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and human connection is at the heart of Taylor Krulac's approach to mental health counseling. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, Taylor specializes in helping clients find sustainable ways of living with mental health challenges, particularly OCD and trauma.

Taylor's journey in mental health began at Clemson University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her passion for becoming a therapist led her to Boston College, where she completed her Masters with a focus on Mental Health Counseling. During her graduate studies, Taylor gained valuable experience as a clinical practicum student at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital. It was at McLean's OCD Institute that she received direct training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), a cornerstone of her current practice.

Specializing in mood disorders such as OCD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and acute crisis behaviors, Taylor works with both adolescents and adults. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in a social justice orientation, emphasizing the importance of tailoring treatment to each client's unique circumstances. Taylor is committed to helping her clients achieve their ultimate potential while revitalizing their life passion and personal strengths.

As an LPC, Taylor actively participates in peer clinical supervision with other professionals, ensuring she maintains the highest standards of ethical practice and continues to grow in her clinical skills. Her dedication to professional development is further evidenced by her memberships in the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the South Carolina Association of Licensed Professional Counselors (SCALPC).

Taylor's expertise in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD is backed by extensive training and experience. In addition to her work at McLean Hospital's OCD Institute, she completed the Exposure and Ritual Prevention for OCD Workshop at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA) in 2017. This specialized knowledge allows her to offer targeted, evidence-based treatment for clients struggling with OCD and related disorders.

At Uplift Counseling Services, LLC, which Taylor founded, clients can expect a compassionate, goal-oriented approach to therapy. Whether addressing OCD, trauma, or other mental health challenges, Taylor strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work towards their therapeutic goals. Her practice in Greenville, South Carolina, offers both in-person and tele-therapy sessions, making mental health support accessible to those who need it most.
