With over three decades of dedicated service in the field of mental health, Deborah Balak, LCSW, brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Partners in Women's Mental Health. Specializing in perinatal mental health and early parent-child relationships, Deborah's practice is built on a foundation of compassion, expertise, and a deep understanding of family dynamics.

Deborah's journey in social work began with her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University, followed by a Master's degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University. This solid educational background, combined with her extensive practical experience, has equipped her with the tools to address a wide range of mental health concerns. Her advanced training in family systems, play therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) allows her to offer a diverse set of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs.

Throughout her career, Deborah has worked across various settings including public, private, and non-profit sectors. This diverse experience has honed her ability to help clients navigate through life's challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, ADHD, trauma, and family/child relationship difficulties.
