Deborah Balak

Deborah Balak, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Partners in Women's Mental Health with over three decades of experience. She specializes in perinatal mental health and early parent-child relationships.

She holds an undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and an MSW from Norfolk State University and has advanced training in family systems, play therapy, and EMDR. She has worked across public, private, and non-profit settings and maintains a decade-long association with her current team.

Deborah treats anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, ADHD, trauma, and family/child relationship difficulties. Her approach is compassionate and centered on continuity of care, with a focus on fostering resilience and healthy attachments.
