Michelle Cangelosi

Michelle Cangelosi, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist, holds a doctoral degree in School Psychology from St. John's University and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Grief Counseling Specialist.

She specializes in perinatal and postpartum mental health, pregnancy loss, and birth trauma, and provides school-age mental health for children and adolescents addressing learning, social, emotional, and behavioral issues. With over 15 years of experience spanning school settings, private practice, and research, she owns and operates Captree Psychological Services, P.C.

She integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT skills, and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) to deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based care tailored to major life transitions and grief.
